STADT AM HANG

An abandoned quarry becomes an urban link between two separate neighborhoods. A mix of two rows of buildings hangs in the steep slope – loosely and rhythmically arranged. The south-facing residential complex includes subsidized and privately financed apartments, nursing home, kindergarten and student dorm – all with beautiful views and urban open spaces. A skyscraper with a public elevator serves as a vertical connection. The Hangfuß remains nature.
